Fannin making strong push for playing time
Auburn running backs coach Eddie Gran knows he can depend on Brad Lester.
The junior enters preseason drills as the starting tailback after rushing for 510 yards and nine touchdowns as a backup last year.
But Gran will need more than just one running back this season.
"Brad, right now, is our starting tailback, and I'm looking for a guy that's going to challenge him and a guy that's going to step it up," said Gran. "He can't go every play."
Redshirt freshman Mario Fannin is hoping to be that guy. At least, he's hoping to be a big contributor to the Tigers' success this season.
