In-state DE is Auburn eighth commitment
Auburn picked up a big in-state commitment Sunday as Birmingham-Shades Valley DE Cameron Henderson gave his pledge to the Tigers.
The 6-foot-5, 240-pounder, who is Auburn's first in-state commitment in the 2008 class, chose the Tigers over Arkansas and Mississippi State among others.
"It feels great," said Henderson. "I'm really glad to get it out of the way. I've always dreamed about playing at Auburn."
Henderson had favored the Razorbacks since early in the process and even considered committing late last month. However, after a standout performance at Auburn's camp earned him an offer from the Tigers, Henderson knew he wanted to play his college ball on the Plains.
"I really wanted to go (to Auburn) and when they offered, that was it," said Henderson. "It was tough because I really liked Arkansas, but I've watched Auburn a lot growing up and felt at home when I went to camp."
