Charest updates his recruitment
Quarterback Jacob Charest from Butler High in Matthews, N.C., was in Raleigh last weekend on NC State's practice fields participating in the Adidas Camp. College coaches from NC State, North Carolina, Clemson, Virginia, Duke and Notre Dame were among those in attendance at the combine.
"I did pretty good," Charest told The Wolfpacker afterwards. "I didn't get a chance to throw as much as I wanted to. I did alright though. Like I said I only got a couple throws in and I don't think I threw a bad throw all day."
Charest threw for 3,011 yards and 22 touchdowns with just eight interceptions for Butler in 2006. His production combined with his 6-foot-4, 192-pound frame have made him a highly sought after prospect.
"I'm at six offers right now - California, Oregon, Louisville, Illinois, Akron and North Carolina A&T," Charest said.
