Roxbury (NJ) LB Brendan Beal got a visit at his school from Cane coach Jeff Stoutland two weeks ago.

"I got a Miami offer over the phone, and then the coach came to my school and made sure that it was there," Beal said. "I've talked to coach Stoutland on the phone a few times. He talks about wanting me to be a Cane, and he texts every day."

Beal is still in the process of narrowing down his finalists, but he does have a final 10 that includes Miami.

"It's Miami, USC, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State, BC, LSU, Rutgers, Michigan and Penn State," Beal said. "Right now probably Florida, USC and Ohio State are leading, but not by much."
