Change in plans keeps Newman open
Brandon Newman arrived at Notre Dame on Saturday with every intention of taking himself off the recruiting market. But when the 6-foot-1, 300-pound defensive tackle hopped in the car ride home after the Blue-Gold Game, Newman was still pondering his college choices.
While Notre Dame continues to stand out with the Pleasure Ridge Park star, Newman would rather compare the Irish to other suitors than prematurely end the recruiting process.
"I expected that I was going to pull the trigger," Newman said. "I got there and nothing bad happened, but I realized that I wanted to be to the point where there was no doubt in my mind at all. Being iffy, I don't like that feeling at all. I want to be completely comfortable with everything."
