Reshad Jones. Jones was so good this spring that defensive backs coach Willie Martinez moved Donovan Baldwin to cornerback because he knew he would never see the field at free safety. Jones at a rough freshman season where he battled injuries and was stuck at the number three safety spot bounced back and showed the promise that made him the number one safety in the country coming out of high school. Jones made plays all spring and had a tremendous game on G-Day intercepting a pass and nearly intercepting another. Jones is progressing so quickly that he may challenge C.J. Byrd for his job this fall or he could force coach Martinez to platoon him with Byrd.
