The future at QB
The Trojans are projected as the No. 1 team in the county for 2007 and will be led by yet another Heisman Trophy candidate under center, John David Booty.
But when Booty moves on, who will take over as USC quarterback, the most celebrated position in all of college football for the 21st century.
Since Pete Carroll arrived at Troy he has had three starting quarterbacks. Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart won the Heisman and Booty is currently ranked first on HeismanPundit.com's top-20 watch list.
No other program has displayed the dominance at quarterback like the Trojans have over the past several years.
But will that supremacy continue?
The frontrunner to fill Booty's shoes is sophomore Mark Sanchez. The charismatic QB was the top signal caller of the 2005 recruiting class has world class arm strength. If he wins the starting job in 2008, Sanchez will have two years to create his own legacy at USC and make a run at the Heisman as well.
