Brett Maher has a ton of potential
The University of Nebraska took kicker Adi Kunalic as part of their 2007 recruiting class which leaves open the question of whether or not they would take another kicker for the 2008 class. However, there is an in-state prospect at Utica (Neb.) Centennial who may be too good to pass up.
Through his performance on the field and in camps, Brett Maher has developed the reputation as being one of the top kicking recruits in the Nebraska high school ranks in the past several years.
Count coach Casey Thiele as one who's sold on Maher's potential. Thiele was the coach at Utica Centennial last season, but he has since moved on to be the co-head football coach at Midland Lutheran College.
