One of the most highly touted recruits in the 2006 class was linebacker, Dwight Roberson from Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure. Physically mature when he came hit fall camp, many wondered if Roberson would see the field early as a true freshman, however the depth at linebacker gave the Beaver coaches the luxury of redshirting the talented athlete.

Roberson came in 15-20 pounds heavier than his playing weight as a senior.
The added bulk took time for him to adjust to, but he still impressed the coaches
who expect great things from him in the future.

Defensive coordinator Mark Banker is excited about the possibilties. "We
saw improvement out of him in that bowl period of practice," said Banker.
