Electric athlete Jay Spearman unofficially visited Clemson on Monday. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound burner out of Greenwood, who currently claims an offer from South Carolina, met with various Tiger coaches and discussed his future situation.

"I got in around 2:15 this afternoon," Spearman told Tigerillustrated.com Monday evening. "I sat and talked with coach (Tommy) Bowden for about 15 minutes. He wanted to know if I like playing under center or in the shotgun better. For me, it all depends on what type of offense I'll be playing in. If the team runs a spread option then I'll play quarterback. If not, I can play elsewhere."
