Early look into 2007-08
A young Kansas Jayhawks (34-5, 14-2) team grew up in the 2006-07 season. One of the countries most talented teams overcame early disappointment and inconsistent play to win the Big 12 conference championship outright, as well as take home back-to-back conference tournament championships. Unfortunately for Bill Self and his squad, a tough UCLA team disrupted KU's title hopes by taking down the Jayhawks in the Elite 8. Although Kansas came up short, Self and company are looking ahead to what could be a dream season in 2007-08.
Jayhawk fans might look at the end of KU's season as a disappointment, especially considering the talent in Lawrence. After two years of first round losses, a Final Four was seemingly the only thing that would satisfy a fan base who expects perfection.
