Bruins Reach Final Four
In one of their best efforts all season, the Bruins defeated the best team they've seen on the schedule thus far, and in the process will advance to their 17th final four, an NCAA record, by defeating Kansas 68-55 in the west regional final in San Jose.
Arron Afflalo busted out of his shooting slump in a big way on Saturday, pumping in a game-high 24 points, making 10-of-15 from the field including two critical, long, contested three-point jumpers in the second half with the shot clock running out.
UCLA was able to overcome a season-high 25 turnovers and tremendous Kansas defense to shoot the ball at a 53 percent clip from the field for the game. This is significant because the Jayhawks had not allowed an opponent to shoot over 50 percent during any game for 43 consecutive contests.
