NU Notes: Jordan looks to Glenn and Lucky to lead
Fourth-year Nebraska running backs coach Randy Jordan is no stranger to dealing unique situations in his backfield.
This spring, Jordan must replace the leadership Brandon Jackson provided for the Huskers in 2006, and he also must overcome a handful of off-field and injury related situations that have hit senior Kenny Wilson and juniors Marlon Lucky and Cody Glenn over the past few months.
Wilson is out for spring practice with a bone infection in his knee, but both Lucky and Glenn appear to be at full strength. Lucky dealt with an off-the-field medical situation in February, but Jordan said he has bounced back stronger then ever.
"Marlon is a guy that's a fighter," Jordan said. "He's a guy that's working extremely hard.
"I've probably gotten closer to Marlon over the last couple of months than I ever have before. I appreciate what he is and what he's going to bring to this team. I think that you are going to see a guy that's going to smile more and a guy that's going to go extremely hard every opportunity he gets."
