Charest taking wait and see approach
Braden Hanson was not the only big-name quarterback from the state of North Carolina to visit NC State this weekend. Jacob Charest from Butler High in Matthews also took in the Pack's junior day.
Charest, who went over to Chapel Hill after finishing at NC State, threw for 3,011 yards and 22 touchdowns with eight interceptions as a junior. He was offered by the old staff at NC State, but is just getting to know the new one.
"I met them about a month ago probably, and they have been sending me letters and stuff, keeping in contact," Charest said. "I like them. I like them a lot actually."
NC State was not the only school to send Charest an early offer.
