Freshman stud looking to avoid sophomore slump
After an rookie campaign, that saw Anthony Dixon run for 707 yards and 9 touchdowns on 169 carries, he will take a new approach into his sophomore season. In State's only SEC victory, Dixon put on a show rushing for 121 yards on 25 carries. Dixon showed plenty of potential as a true freshman, but now looks to avoid a sophomore slump.
The Bulldogs finished last season on a disappointing note, losing to Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl, and with that lost State finished last in the SEC. While a sour note, it helped Dixon and his teammates to change their attitude, to analyze last season, and to use it as motivation for 07.
