Participants in this weekend's Alabama Junior Day got a warm welcome from the Tide coaching staff and a wealth of information about the football program. Some recruits went home with more than a tour of campus and brochures.

"Coach Saban offered me a scholarship this weekend," said Union Grove (McDonough, GA) linebacker Steven Sylvester. "It was really cool to receive because I really like Alabama, and my trip to Junior Day really reinforced how much I like them."

Sylvester, a 6-foot-2, 211-pound outside linebacker, isn't totally unfamilar with the state of Alabama.
