Texarkana back takes in UA junior day
One of the most talented Natural State athletes in the 2008 recruiting class is Texarkana (Ark.) running back Dennis Johnson, and he had a chance to get a first-hand look at Arkansas on Saturday.
Johnson, 5-foot-8, 180 pounds, has over 3,200 career rushing yards, and he has a chance to top 5,000 career yards before his high school season is finished. Johnson offered a rundown of Saturday's events.
"First, we all met at the Broyles Complex [at 10:30 a.m.] and got to know everybody, meet all the coaches and all that," Johnson said. "After that, we ate and went to the [Arkansas vs. Tennessee basketball] game. After the game, they took us to the weight room which was a good facility. I liked that. They showed us the shakes and stuff that they drink and all that. The weight trainer talked to us about all that.
