A&M hopes to start new win streak at Reed
No. 8 Texas A&M returns home after a two-game road trip that saw the Aggies take their first two road victories over Oklahoma and Oklahoma State since the inception of the Big 12 conference..
But A&M (23-4, 11-2 Big 12) now has to stay on top of its game in the final game of this season's Battle on the Brazos when Baylor (13-13, 3-10) heads to Reed Arena at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Bears' record is deceiving as Baylor hasn't been out of too many games this season. They have had a solid home stand over the last two games by narrowly losing to Texas by one point and beating Nebraska, 63-59, in their last outing. Whenever Baylor gets hot from outside they ca beat anyone.
But the game is big for A&M as well. Every game is. The Aggies are playing for a Big 12 championship and so far A&M and Kansas are matching win for win. A NCAA tournament seeding is also on the line as the Aggies' can't afford to drop another home game.
