Pullen excited to be part of program
The good news is Jacob Pullen has time to re-cooperate before his final regular-season high school game Friday night. The three-star point guard spent the weekend in Manhattan, was awed by the Bramlage Coliseum crowd at Kansas State for Big Monday, and then caught an early-morning flight to return to Maywood (Ill.) Proviso East High just before the opening bell.
Pullen will lead Proviso East, 22-3 and ranked No. 9 in Illinois, against Addison Trail on Friday. But Pullen's mind on Tuesday afternoon was still some 600 miles away in the Little Apple, his ears still ringing from the noise that filled Bramlage during the Wildcats' 71-62 loss to No. 9 Kansas in a nationally-televised game on ESPN, his thoughts centered around a post-game discussion between himself and Bill Walker as they shot hoops afterward in the empty arena.
