Boateng already paying dividends

GoldenBearReport.com While Nyan Boateng will not officially be listed as a 2007 Cal recruit, and will not count against Cal's team rankings - he certainly should. Boateng is one of the most talked about newcomers in Berkeley. He's also a big part of the future of Cal football. BearTerritory checked in with the former New York City prep football and basketball star to get the latest.
There are only a handful of prospects that can instantly put a charge into a college program, and Boateng is certainly one of those rare players. His athletic abilities are on par with some of the best in college football, including the already talented Cal wide receiver trio. With a reported vertical well over 40-inches (measured at 45-inches), 4.45 forty-speed, a large frame, and fabulous hands, Cal has gained another dynamic receiver. Though Boateng will have to sit out the 2007 college football season as a transfer, he'll be able to practice with Cal's receiving corps all the way from the start of spring ball to the end of the 2007 season.
