Big Florida WR has early attention
Citra (Fla.) North Marion wide receiver Darius Morgan could emerge as one of the top prospects at his position in the Sunshine State for the Class of 2008 and is claiming several early scholarship offers.
"I've got (verbal) offers from Tennessee, Auburn, Florida State and Florida," Morgan said. "Recruiting is going great right now. Everyday I go into school to get my work done and there's another scout in the building there to look at me."
Morgan also has interest in a trio of programs in addition to the four previously mentioned.
"I'm very interested in Georgia Tech because they had a physical receiver (Calvin Johnson) just like me," Morgan said. "I always wanted to look up Georgia Tech because I figured in practice they made (Johnson) tough and helped him become who he is. I like Oklahoma and USC because they like tall and physical receivers."
