Cats take fight to the Tigers
It did not take a basketball genius to dissect Missouri's 80-73 loss to Kansas State on Wednesday night. Tiger coach Mike Anderson said pretty much what every Internet expert had already typed.
"Kansas State is probably just a little bit tougher than us at this point in time," Anderson said.
The Tigers and the Wildcats traded punches in a game of runs most of the night at Bramlage Coliseum. Kansas State landed the first blow, starting the game on a 10-o spurt.
"We came out ready to play, but they wanted it a little bit more than us," said Missouri junior Stefhon Hannah.
Led by Hannah's ten points, the Tigers battled back to within three points at the half. With the junior college transfer scoring five quick points after the break, Mizzou's 8-0 run put the Tigers up 41-36.
