J.P. Prince Talks About Tennessee Transfer
Tennessee basketball program got a boost on Tuesday afternoon with word getting out that Arizona transfer and Memphis native J.P. Prince had picked the Vols and would enroll in classes this week. Prince was one of the highest rated players in the nation coming out of high school in 2005 when he signed with Lute Olsen and the Wildcats.
Prince (6-foot-7, 203 pounds) elected to leave the Arizona program at the end of the fall semester, and speculation immediately began as to where the talented hoopster might land.
Originally it appeared that he was all set to head to Vanderbilt, but a snafu with the admissions process left the door open with him, and Tennessee stepped in to make its case as a good fit for Prince in his second college stop.
