How close is Jackson to making his decision?
When the news came out late Tuesday night that Nebraska junior running back Brandon Jackson was highly considering forgoing his senior year for the NFL, most Husker fans were caught off guard.
Jackson has been plagued by injury for most of his NU career, but the 5-foot-11, 210 pound running back out of Mississippi had a huge junior season by putting up over 1,300 yards of total offense and 10 touchdowns.
Jackson big numbers this season caught the eyes of several NFL draft experts, including ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr.. In a recent draft list, Kiper has Jackson ranked as one of the top five junior running backs in the country.
The deadline for juniors to make their decision about forgoing their senior season for the NFL is on Monday. When reached early Wednesday evening, Jackson's older brother Ben Jackson said no decision has been made.
Ben Jackson said he plans to talk to his brother further in depth tonight, but to his knowledge no official decision has been made.
