The atmosphere at the PMAC on Saturday night brought back memories of the Chris Jackson-Shaquille O'Neal days of LSU basketball.

Boosted by a big-time opponent and the presence of ESPN's GameDay crew, the Tigers fans showed tremendous enthusiasm.

On the court, LSU came away with a near-must non-conference victory against Connecticut. The Tigers had only one quality victory during November and December - a home triumph against a veteran Texas A&M team.
