Springdale (Ark,) tight end Zack Pianalto couldn't help but listen when fellow Springdale native Butch Davis called him about possibly making a visit to the University of North Carolina.

The former Texas pledge wound up scheduling a visit to UNC, and a couple of weeks later, he changed his commitment from the Longhorns to the Tar Heels.

"Coach Davis gave me a call a couple of weeks ago, right after he signed (with UNC)," said Pianalto. "He said, 'I know you're committed to Texas, but I've got to try; I've got to give you my sales pitch.' Coach Davis is from my area; he grew up in Springdale, so I've always followed him in coaching."
