Mason comes alive against Wright State
Dameon Mason finally displayed some of the offensive prowess that has been expected of him since joining LSU from Marquette.
With his starting job possibly in jeopardy with the availability of Terry Martin, Mason responded with a season-high 14 points in the Tigers' 71-45 victory against Wright State at the PMAC on Wednesday night.
Mason, who had scored in double figures just twice in LSU's first ten games, made five of seven field goal attempts against the Raiders. Two of the baskets were 3-pointers.
"I got some different looks tonight," Mason said. "We got some man-to-man defense. Sometimes I have to adjust to teams playing zone. Everybody was waiting for me to drive and there were no driving angles."
