Jones talks Shrine Bowl, recruiting
SPARTANBURG, S.C.- Five-star wide receiver Dwight Jones of Burlington (N.C.) Cummings is just trying to have a good time this week at the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.
"Basically, I just want to go out there and have fun," he said. "My coaches said not to worry about getting the ball too much, plus my high school coach, Frank Mensch, is here, so basically I'm just here trying to get to know all the other players and have fun."
The 6-foot-5, 210-pounder is looking forward to meeting some of the other top prospects from both Carolinas.
"I saw the players and I really don't know the players I saw," Jones said. "I spoke to Marcus Gilchrist a little bit and I spoke to Willy Korn when I saw him and one other lineman committed to Clemson."
On the recruiting front, Jones remains committed to North Carolina, but has three schools, Clemson, Florida and Tennessee, that he is considering.
