Nation's No. 1 DE Talks Tennessee Trip
With roughly half of the Vols' '07 signing class appearing to be in place, defensive end remains one position where Tennessee would like to add another prospect or two. The Vols are aiming high to fill those needs, targeting the nation's top-rated defensive end, South Carolina's Carlos Dunlap, who was in Knoxville as an unofficial visitor for the last home game of the season this past weekend.
Dunlap (6-foot-6, 240 pounds, 4.7 40-yard dash), from North Charleston, S.C., has seen his stock as a prospect simply explode this fall.
Tennessee was one of the first schools to show serious interest in Dunlap, and he signaled that he's got some interest in return by making an unofficial visit to Knoxville for the Kentucky game along with his parents.
He has also made unofficial trips this fall to Florida, South Carolina, Clemson and Auburn.
