Overland Park (Kan.) St. Thomas Aquinas linebacker Brian Smith indicated earlier this month he was considering possibly taking a visit other than the one to the school he was committed to. Now, the No. 3 ranked prospect in the Sunflower State is getting closer to setting that visit.

Smith, a three-star rated prospect, chose Iowa in August and visited with the Hawkeye coaching staff about his wanting to visit Manhattan.

Smith is being recruited to K-State by defensive coordinator Raheem Morris.
