Kansas rolls over Dartmouth
No. 5 ranked Kansas came home Tuesday night after a successful weekend in Las Vegas, Nev. The Jayhawks, coming off a huge win over then No.1 Florida, took on the Big Green from Datmouth in Allen Fieldhouse. Any fears of KU playing uninspired were put to rest early, as the Jayhawks, led by freshman Darrell Arthur, took it to the outmanned, and outmatched Ivy League team, with a final score of 83-32.
The Jayhawks entered Tuesday's game on the ultimate high after taking the Las Vegas Invitational championship over the weekend. Bill Self wanted his team to come out with the same type of fire, even though Dartmouth was a major underdog.
Arthur and crew came out with intensity in a game that was expected to be a walk in the park. Arthur, who made play after play against Florida, scored 13 points and pulled down 8 rebounds to lead the Jayhawks.
Kansas came out looking to put the Big Green away early. The quicker Jayhawks had 20 points off turnovers in the first half, and opened the game 18-2. KU held Dartmouth to just 25% shooting for the game.
