Heralded junior college transfer Takais Brown
made his debut on the hard court for the Georgia Bulldogs against Valdosta State
Blazers Saturday afternoon making a huge impression. Brown scored 23 points
in his debut in the 105-74 victory over Valdosta State.

Brown missed the first two regular season games to suspension
by head coach Dennis Felton. Coach Felton told Brown he needed to get
his academic in order before he would be able to play basketball at Georgia.

"It was about priorities not punishment (the suspension)
and it was obvious that is was killing him (not to play), but hopefully he will
remember that and stay consistently serious about his class work," said
Felton.
