Auburn basketball returns to action Friday
Hurry up and wait.
That's what it's been like for the Auburn basketball team in the week since a season-opening win against Troy last Friday.
The Tigers (1-0) spent most of the last seven days practicing. They're trying to fix some of the flaws they displayed in that game, especially the poor shot selection and haphazard decision-making.
Head coach Jeff Lebo hopes his lessons have sunk in.
Because for the next two weeks, he won't have too many opportunities just to teach.
That's because AU is scheduled to play seven games in the next 14 days, a grueling pace in college basketball.
"This stretch we have coming up is going to be very difficult, especially for a young team and one that doesn't have a lot of depth right now," Lebo said.
