Auburn opens with win over Troy

AuburnSports.com It might have been the most satisfying air-ball of Rasheem Barrett's Auburn career.
That's because Barrett's last-minute 3-pointer, though it failed to draw iron, found its way into the hands of teammate Frank Tolbert, who was standing under the basket. Tolbert nailed the follow-up layup, giving AU the lead for good in a 71-68 win against Troy.
"It wasn't a shot. I saw him cutting to the basket in my peripheral vision," Barrett joked.
"I just knocked it down, put it back in there," Tolbert said.
Tolbert's layup gave AU a 69-68 lead, the last of 15 lead changes in the game.
