Tide avoids huge upset, beats Duke 30-14
Alabama avoided a colossal upset Saturday night scoring 20 second half points to overcome a four point halftime deficit and defeat the Duke Blue Devils 30-14.
"We almost fell into that age-old trap in college football," said Tide defensive coordinator Joe Kines. "If you walk out there, you can get beat and if you ever forget that, it's fixing to jump up and bite you real big. They give scholarships, they practice hard and they coach well. You can't ever just throw your hat out there and win."
