Monday's Insider Notebook
Until Saturday, the Seminole football team was winning the battle against the dreaded injury bug. The bug claimed its first real victim on Monday when it was announced that starting noseguard Paul Griffin was lost for the season with a torn ACL. The junior injured his left knee while attempting to make a tackle in the first quarter of the Troy game.
Griffin's setback was the first major injury to a starter this season and defensive line coach Odell Haggins took the news hard.
