Texas, OU dominate South
The Big 12 South may be dominating the Big 12 conference when it comes to championships, but two programs have been dominating the division since 1999 - Texas and Oklahoma.
After a down year in Sooner Nation, Oklahoma seemed to have the team that could get back to challenging, and beating, Texas, but Rhett Bomar threw that into a tailspin after he was kicked off the team following payments from time not worked at a Oklahoma car dealership.
The defense in Norman is still as strong as ever, and they do have running back Adrian Peterson returning, but a mediocre offensive line and quarterback to wide receiver and back to quarterback again Paul Thompson brings mobility by an inexperienced arm.
Paging AD: if you can gain 1,500 yards against eight in the box every snap you deserve the Heisman. If you don't win it, blame Bomar and Big Red Sports/Imports.
The defense at OU will keep them in games, and ultimately allow them to challenge Texas on Oct. 7 at the Red River Shootout.
