Tough 7-on-7 drill for Reid
Quarterback Bobby Reid didn't have his best day this afternoon. The trouble mostly came in the 7-on-7 drill, where coaches placed the ball at the five-yard line. Reid was picked off twice and mis-fired on several passes.
Following practice, head coach Mike Gundy said the performance didn't worry him because the offensive staff had installed several new routes and it was Reid's first time seeing them in a live setting.
The guard report
As coach Joe Wickline continues to search for the best combination of guards for his starting five, the competitions at right guard are easily one of the more interesting things to track at practice.
Tuesday stayed pretty stable, with Stephen Denning and Andrew Lawrence taking most of the snaps at left guard. On the right side it was again Noah Franklin and Kurt Seifried.
There were some interesting developments on the o-line, which we'll discuss in the next session.
