Spencer Larsen happy to be healthy
There is nothing more that linebacker Spencer Larsen wants at the moment than to step on the field on Sept. 2 healthy. After getting banged up last preseason, Larsen never got back to full strength, despite leading the linebacker corps with 51 tackles.
The 6-foot-1, 236-pound junior is thrilled about starting camp healthy.
"Are you kidding? It feels great," said Larsen. "I don't have to have my brace on, no ice, I can just play now. It feels good."
Larsen playing at full strength should be a big relief for Wildcats fans because last season Arizona's defense, especially the linebackers, was decimated by injuries.
Being on the field with fellow linebackers Dane Krogstad and Ronnie Palmer has been enjoyable for Larsen.
"Oh it feels good," he said. "We haven't gotten a chance to do that in a while. We played together a little in spring which was good, but its fun playing with these guys."
