Attitude adjustment in Day 2
As the day cooled off and a nice breeze swept through Starkville, the Bulldogs took the field for their second practice of fall camp. The first day of practice was not up to Coach Croom's expectations, but the second came with a few surprises.
"Our tempo was a lot better, our focus; our concentration was a lot better today. Everything was a lot better today. Still the receivers are dropping too many balls. Michael Henig threw the ball well today, Tray Rutland made some better throws today also. I would say we got better in that area today," he commented
After a lackluster first performance on the practice field the Bulldogs came out revitalized today.
"All in all we made some improvement today. Our defense is running to the football, that's the most obvious thing right now. We're also competing well. I thought our secondary and our wide receivers really competed today in our one-on-one stuff. All in all it was a lot better day than it was yesterday. We're still a long way away from being ready to play a game.
