Arizona recruits drop out as tourney winds down
Tuesday's action saw many of Arizona's targets play good games, but fall short of advancing to the last day.
The first game of the day saw Laval Lucas-Perry and the Michigan Hurricanes coming up short, losing to Utah Pump N' Run. Perry finished with 15 points and the general feeling was that his team did not get him the ball enough. He was the main offensive threat at the guard position and was able to display his shooting ability.
It was a very physical game, but Lucas-Perry did not get rattled. He looks as if he will be able to handle some of the more physical games that he may see at Arizona. This tournament was the first time we have gotten to see Lucas-Perry in an AAU setting, and we came away impressed.
J.J. Hickson was also eliminated from the tournament on Tuesday, but we came away extremely impressed. Hickson is athletic but also powerful. He has a constant motor and is a threat on both defense and offense.
