Georgia Tech felt like home to Donley
D.J. Donley knew exactly where he wanted to go to college, so why put it off? The four-star wide receiver from Charlton County High School in Folkston, Ga., always had a feeling he would end up at Georgia Tech, especially after his visit to a one-day camp in June. Donley, who had countless other offers, decided to make it official on Sunday.
"Ever since the camp I pretty much knew I would probably go to Georgia Tech," Donley said. "My mom and I wanted to make sure it was the right decision before I made it, but I pretty much knew since the camp.
"I just felt more comfortable around the coaches and around the players. I felt more at home. At some campuses I went to I felt out of place, but not at Georgia Tech. I feel like it's the best situation as far as location. It's not too far where my family can't visit or make it to the games, but it's far enough to where I won't be tempted to come home every weekend."
Donley made the call to head coach Chan Gailey on Sunday afternoon.
