The day started here with a close look at one of Indiana's biggest targets,
6-foot-11 DeAndre Jordan from Houston, Texas. With Billy
Gillispie, John Brady and several assistants including Ray McCallum looking on,
it wasn't the best of starts for the guy with one of the biggest upsides in the
'07 class.

Jordan and his Houston Swoosh team were taking on a Magnolia Stars team from
Mississippi. The Houston team has some solid talent besides Jordan
including impressive guard Trumaine Johnson. The 6-foot-3 Johnson
is from Kingwood High and led Houston to a 69-63 win, hitting 11-18 from the
floor to score 25 points. Rick Pitino and Tubby Smith watched this game
closely and some of us courtside were wondering whether they were there for
Jordan or Johnson.
