Wildcats land Beasley
The hiring of Bob Huggins caused Kansas State fans everywhere to believe the revival of a once-proud basketball program had finally started, and now a major step in the quest to bring the Wildcats back to national prominence has taken place. Michael Beasley, the top-rated power forward for the Class of 2007 and the No. 4-rated overall prospect in the nation, has committed to play for Huggins and the Wildcats.
"I did make my commitment to Kansas State," Beasley said. "I just had a great opportunity to play one of the best coaches in the history of college basketball and make some history there myself. Hopefully we can all take K-State to the Final Four, or even further."
