OSU visit leaves Noopy impressed
Anthony Crater may be a very young basketball prospect, but he's no fool when it comes to playing the game or assessing his future.
Crater, a svelte, ultraquick 6-foot point guard from Flint, Mich., already is putting serious thought into his recruiting situation and he's mature enough to know what's important in life -- even while retaining his boyhood nickname of "Noopy."
Crater certainly measures up on the hardwood. Even though he's about 170 pounds soaking wet, "Noopy" is one of the top prospects in the class of 2008 and one of the best pure point guards in the country -- in all of prep basketball.
In August, Crater will continue his unofficial tour or his favorite suitors, with a visit to Duke a certainty and Florida, Illinois and Louisville the other most likely destinations.
