Boling impresses USC's coaches, scores offer
Alpharetta, Ga., Chattahoochee lineman Clint Boling attended South Carolina's camp over the weekend hoping to earn a scholarship from the Gamecock coaches. Mission accomplished.
"South Carolina's camp was very good, and they offered me a scholarship," the 6-foot-5, 270-pound Boling said. "I worked out as a defensive lineman and an offensive lineman, and they offered me as a defensive lineman."
Boling, who bench presses 320 pounds, enjoyed working with USC's coaches.
"II spent most of the day with coach (Brad) Lawing, and he was good to be around. Towards the end of the camp I started working out as an offensive lineman, so I spent some time with coach (John) Hunt. Both of them seem like good coaches."
