Return to glory?
First-year coach Ron Prince told Kansas State fans to save their money, as he intends for the Wildcats to go to a bowl. The last time K-State didn't go bowling for three straight years, Prince was at Appalachian State. Prince won't be satisfied until Wildcat Nation is at the top once again. Already he's prepping for the first North foe, a biggie -- Nebraska on Oct. 14. Next up: KANSAS STATE.

No need to rehash recent history here. And there's no reason for K-State to repeat history (see: last place in the North), as the Wildcats' newfound energy and workman-like approach in mastering the West Coast offense and Cover 2 defense is expected to translate into on-field success.
The big question remains at QB, where Allan Evridge and Dylan Meier appeared even heading into the summer.
Offensive players call their system "easy." Same goes for the defense.
Going against an expected top 15-ranked Louisville squad Sept. 23? Not so easy.
