Poling staking claim among 2008ís top big men
Oregon is a hotbed for elite college basketball prospects in the Class of 2007, as Kevin Love and Kyle Singler currently find themselves ranked in the top six of the Rivals 150.
It looks as though the Beaver State is going to produce a top player in the 2008 class as well, as Portland, Ore., Westview's Andy Poling, a 6-10, 205-pound center, has earned rave reviews for his performance during his sophomore season and during the early part of AAU competition this spring.
According to Poling, his AAU team, the Portland Panthers, haven't been in a lot of events thus far this spring, but he played well in the events in which they have participated.
"It's going pretty good thus far. I played pretty well in Houston and Las Vegas; that's all we've done thus far," said Poling.
