Florida cornerback in contact with Texas
One of the top recruiting priorities for the Texas Longhorn coaches over the next few months is to find another lockdown corner to add to their already impressive 2007 commitment list.
With Texas set feature two seniors at the cornerback spots next fall (Tarell Brown and Aaron Ross) and little proven depth behind the starters, loading up on talented playmakers at the cornerback spot is critical for the Horns as they look to the future.
The May evaluation period is now in full swing and the Texas staff has been on the road to check out prospects all over the country. The state of Florida has already produced a handful of UT targets at a variety of positions, and it looks like another Sunshine State standout is on the Longhorn radar.
Daytona Beach (FL) Seabreeze talent James Scott, who already holds offers from Alabama, Florida and Tennessee, was paid a recent visit by Texas co-defensive coordinator Gene Chizik.
