Tatum, Texas, running back Lennon Creer received a written Miami scholarship
offer April 4.

"I talked to coach (Larry) Coker and (Todd) Berry before that," Creer said. "They told me it was being mailed. Coach Coker said he liked what he saw and that I had an offer on the way. We talked about 10 or 15 minutes. He was a nice man. I like him a lot."

The UM offer shook up Creer's favorites.

"Miami's at the top of my list," Creer said. "It's because I like the tradition, they win a lot of ballgames. I think I'd like it down there.

"I'll probably come down in June for the summer camp."
